The 2026 Shipston Proms begins with a night of sparkle, nostalgia, and feel-good party vibes as we officially launch this year’s festival with a spectacular Studio 54-inspired 70s & 80s Vinyl Disco at Townsend Hall.

Local DJ Anthony from Shipston’s beloved record shop, Expressions Of Sound, will be on the decks bringing the energy and atmosphere to launch the Proms in true party style with iconic dancefloor classics, disco anthems, and retro favourites played the way they were meant to be heard — on vinyl.

This promises to be an epic opening night full of music, dancing, colour, and community spirit, so whether you’re reliving the disco era or simply love a great night out, this is your chance to let your hair down and start the festival with a bang.

Fancy dress is highly encouraged, with prizes up for grabs for the best dressed dancers — so dust off those flares, polish those platform shoes, and bring plenty of sparkle.
