Ibiza on Stour Event at The Hub on 27th June 2026

I'm very sorry to have to share the news that the Ibiza on Stour event will not be going ahead as planned this year at The Hub.

Following our application for a Premises Licence, the Licensing Panel at Stratford District Council (SDC) has decided not to grant permission for the event to take place at The Hub. This despite the fact that we had the support of Shipston Town Council; our Councillors Olivia Hatch and Dave Passingham and also our MP Manuela Perteghella.

As a committee we attended a panel hearing on Wednesday 15th April where we presented our case, as did an officer from SDC Environmental Health who objected to our application. His main point was that irrespective of any mitigating controls the location is unsuitable for an outdoor music event as it is too close to residential properties.

We are extremely disappointed with this outcome. We are now considering our options and will provide a further update as soon as we have decided what to do.

Shipston Proms Music Festival is a community event and, as already stated, Shipston Town Council, Shipston Councillors and our MP supported us in planning to put on this popular element.

As the Chair I shall be working with the committee to look at all the alternative options for the Ibiza Night and ensure the wider Shipston Proms programme can go ahead. I look forward to welcoming you to the many other events taking place across the festival. We will keep you updated.
